JUSTICE:
A Choose A Hero Romance™

A star athlete with a notorious reputation, Justine “Justice” Hayes is offered the chance to join the United States’ elite Special Operations Forces. SOF is standing up three new units called “Special Missions,” and Justice’s past as a master thief makes her perfect to lead one of these intelligence-gathering teams.
But an impossible condition stands between her and her dream job.

She has to survive the Navy’s most intensive and grueling SPECWAR training program: BUD/S.

Despite opposition, Justice soon finds herself wearing the rank of a Navy ensign and competing with some of America’s toughest men. Two of these SEAL candidates will come to test her mind and her heart, as much as her will to keep business and pleasure firmly separate. Temptations multiply when she crosses swords with the cocky helicopter pilot who commands her Special Missions flight crew.

Her vow to maintain a professional distance is finally shaken when an unorthodox training exercise goes terribly wrong. In the brutal aftermath, she needs a man who cares about her to help her fully heal.

Please note the following:

• This is NOT a ménage romance. One ending equals one true-love hero.
• This is not a love triangle. In the main story, the heroine will be drawn to all three heroes in different ways, but she will only truly love the one man you choose for her.
• This is not a cheating lovers story. The heroine isn’t cheating on one hero when you choose another for her; rather, she goes on to live a different romance along a unique timeline.

** Now’s your chance to have your cake and eat it too—to make three different life choices vicariously through the heroine, and so earn herself multiple happily-ever-afters.

Enthralling free military romance story. Well-written cliffhanger with a twist...the reader chooses which hero's story to purchase and follows the story to its romantic conclusion. Each of the three heroes' journey is individualized and provides a different ending to this unique tale.

I love capable and kick-ass heroines, and Justice has insane courage and determination. The different perspective of BUD/S training for SEALs is intense and gritty and not for the faint of heart. Those with triggers or who are squeamish should be aware that there are definite physical and emotional obstacles that these warriors face.

This author always does a great job of immersing the reader in the challenging world of those who serve in the military, and this story is no exception. I loved the way this particular tale was heroine-centric even as it provided glimpses of three very different alpha males. This is one of those books that grips the reader in the action and makes one stay up far too late, just to see how things turn out...but...in this case one doesn't get a resolution until a particular hero is selected.

I think it's going to be fun to see which hero readers fall in love with, and I hope to read more of these types of stories.

I swear I felt the sand, I wanted to take a shower. My body hurt and I wanted comfort. Tracy Tappan is such a descriptive author that you feel like its you she is talking about, your story she is sharing. When it comes to the hunks, one can only wish. Tracy has provided a novel idea, a fantastic romantic suspense in the military world where you choose the ultimate man. 3 different endings, 3 different men, all 3 make you feel loved, protected, worthy. Can't choose? Get all 3 endings and indulge yourself. Justice is quick, strong, intelligent, and vulnerable. You are sucked into her world and I did not want it to end. I read all 3 endings because I kept waffling on my choice. All 3 kept yelling at me, *take take me" . So I did.

If you haven't check out Tracy's other series, you should. I got to know her in *The Community Serie* her paranormal and then her *Wings of Gold* series.

Remember those days of your childhood when you stood in front of a candy display clutching that quarter trying to decide which candy you would buy? Well, get ready to have that feeling again when reading Justice -A Choose A Hero Romance Where The Reader Controls The Ending- (whew) by Tracy Tappan. I think that the only difference is that this is a life decision with no bad consequences, only guaranteed satisfaction (times 3 if you dare) and HEA's all around!
In Justice, we meet a star athlete, who happens to be a trained master thief and an all around kick a ** woman who has a chance to compete with the big boys and join the US elite Special Operation Forces. Caveat: she has to pass the Navy's rigorous SEAL training program, BUD/S. Intense and uber realistic are the only descriptions I can make about this portion of the story. Ms. Tappan knows her military stuff. A nail biting, gritty detailed, fist clenching, heart racing, and pulse pounding...you get the idea... tale of Justice's grueling training is portrayed. Jesus, what these trainees have to endure. (But somehow the author manages to make you sneak in a laugh through some of the most toughest scenes.) The story fascinates me because not only does it portray each stage of the training, but it takes you along for the ride through the eyes of the main character, Justice- aka the "BUD/S Woman". You get to know her past and what propelled her down this path. Along the way you meet her future possible heroes: Keith: "Man of the Hour and all around Hunk-a-Chunk-a" , Brayden: "... big heart...toe-curling dimples..gallantry", and Pete: "...aviator sunglasses..factory-strength hotness and yum...". They are introduced with no particular bias towards any of them, but a magnetic pull towards all. They each have traits that appeal to different aspects of her personality - and yours:-) It's like being faced with choosing between a chocolate chip cookie, an ice cream sundae, or a slice of cheesecake. It's subjective. You can't go wrong. An apt description from the story: "Every one of the candidates should come with a warning label: hot bods known to inspire spontaneous orgasms in women between the ages of eighteen and forty...if stared at too long." Tracy Tappan knows what she is doing. This book isn't pick option A. for a sexy hero, B. for a rough bad boy, or C. for a sappy friend-with-benefits hero. She weaves a real to life storyline/ plot for each hero. Each track is unique with realistic action and a satisfying conclusion based on a different personal issue the heroine has faced during her life. I was happy that she could pull off making each guy "fit" Justice so perfectly. It drove me crazy too, because unlike a ménage story, I wanted to only like one of the guys for her. But I ended up getting possessive about all of them....sigh... But initially at least, you must choose Justice's own path forward through one of her awesome heroes. When a totally "unorthodox" training exercise puts Justice in a horrible position, who will she turn to for help? When a mission goes sour, who will risk it all to save her? You can't go wrong whether you pick one hero- or eventually all of them! Each story is non-repetitively satisfying and actually gives you a better understanding of the heroine's personality. I devoured all three endings and was pulling my hair after all of them. Why- because I decided on my absolute favorite guy, her perfect compliment, the one man who totally "got" her, the hunkiest of the hunkiest (according to me)- only to palm slap myself and change my mind time and time again. Each guy, whether it was Keith, Brayden, or Pete suited her in different ways. If only I could combine all three into one... But then I probably wouldn't have the enjoyment of reading "three" different perspectives in what turned out to feel like one satisfyingly story. When you love a book, sometimes you don't want it to end. So having multiple, well written HEA's is a treat. Think- "sequel" on steroids and not having to stop after one potato chip. *Sorry for all the food references* In this instance, you CAN have it all. Well played Tracy, well played. And when you finally finish reading Justice, and you desperately need more, look up her other books : The Wings of Gold Series (Military/Romantic) or The Community Series (Paranormal). You're welcome in advance.
I received an ARC of this book to leave my honest, and somewhat long-winded opinion.

Justice Hayes is the daughter of a notorious thief and from a very young age, she’s been trained to be the world’s greatest thief. She’s an athlete who knows how to hold her own, especially around men. When the US Military SOF (Special Operations Forces) wants her in their special new team of special missions, she agrees. First, she has to make it through BUD/s training. It’s grueling and she honestly doesn’t know if she can make it. But ‘quit’ is not in her vocabulary. She bonds with her boat team, especially Keith and Braydon. Then there’s the boastful brash pilot, Pete, who commands her special missions flight crew. All three men offer Justice something special but when she’s asked to do the unthinkable, all in the name of training her team, Justice’s world goes sideways. She’ll need a hero who’s tough enough to penetrate her tough exterior and gentle in spirit to help her heal. Which one will it be? The reader gets to choose in this interactive romance.

From the moment I first heard about Tracy Tappan’s Choose A Hero Romance™ concept, I knew I had to read it for myself. As a die-hard romance reader, I’m a tough critic. I know what works, what doesn’t, what sells, and what will flop. Justice is, without a doubt, a brilliant concept series and is bound to be a trendsetting bestseller. Readers get to choose which hero the heroine will wind up with. As I was reading, I kept flipping between which one I wanted Justice to choose. First, it was Keith, then Braydon, then Pete before switching to… nope, not going to tell you. You’ll have to read it for yourself.

Justice is a gritty, intense military romantic suspense I couldn’t put down. The character Justice is my complete polar opposite, yet I connected with her right away. She has more guts, more grit, more self-control than ten SEALs put together. The intricate detail of the BUD/s training is not only fascinating to read but fully accurate. There are other parts that are fictitious, but they are written with authority to make it believable and a smooth read. If you love military romance, you’ll want to read Justice. If you love romance, you need to dive into Justice. I hope the author, Tracy Tappan, writes more stories in the series. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Heroine - 3 Wonderful Hero’s -YOU choose who you want for HER!

First of all this is an amazing concept to engage the reader with the actual story. So fun to read the story and keep wondering who YOU think will be the best happily ever after for Justice - Brayden, Keith or Pete.

Justice is a very talented and strong woman who is motivated to excel based on her unusual childhood. She is asked to join the military to take a team leadership role in a new military role that focuses on stealthy acquisition of tech, knowledge or whatever is needed. Justice heads off to BUD/s training and is the first and only woman to ever attempt the grueling course.

Justice is introduced to Brayden Street who lives in the same housing complex. He assigns her to his brother Keith Knight’s boat team. Both brothers take an interest in Justice. Keith is protective of her as a teammate during the grueling SEAL training and they grow close. She also spends time with Brayden who is there to share ice cream and his time. Justice is attracted to both men, but is focused on completing BUD/s and has no time or interest in romance.

While away from BUD/s during Hell Week, she meets her new teammates and their helicopter flight crew. Pete Robbins is a gorgeous, cocky and irreverent helicopter pilot who draws Justice’s attention. They grow close during the 2 week training cycle and have a romantic near miss.

Justice returns to BUD/s and completes her training, but the training experience changes her. Once with her team in the Korean Peninsula their first mission ends with an unexpected and dangerous surprise. At this point, YOU the reader have to make a choice for who you want to save Justice and be her happily ever after.

Who will you choose? Will you want to compare her HEA with a different HEA? You the reader get to control who Justice ends up with.

This was a suspenseful and highly engaging story. I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Tracy Tappan is one of my favorite authors, especially for military/suspenseful romances!

In this part of her story, we learn that Justice Hayes is an exceptional woman. As the daughter of a world-renowned cat burglar, she was raised to be a thief. Her very unique skill sets make her perfect for the Navy’s SOF’s Special Missions teams. In order to prepare for this new assignment, she must go through SEAL training. The descriptions of her BUD/S training bring the story such realism that you begin to vividly form a definite picture of what makes Justice tick. But even though it’s made known from the beginning, it’s not until the prank she and Pete pull in the CO’s office, you really recognize her as a thief, adding another layer to what we have come to realize is a complicated personality. Her training experiences become specifically explicit when she’s sent with her BUD/S class to SERE School. The fallout from that experience is highly emotional and may be difficult to read for some readers. The cliffhanger ending to her first field operation will leave you not only anxious to learn of its outcome but of just where Justice’s journey is headed.

The experience of watching as Justice meets and gets to know the 3 male protagonists raises your level of interest since it is within your control as to which direction Justice’s story will ultimately go. It won’t be an easy task, at least it isn’t for me. Each male character has his own singular personality, and you’d think it might be easy to pick and choose especially based on how matters evolve in this fast-paced, captivating tale. It’s not! The complexity and uniqueness of Justice’s personality, and those of her counterparts, make this a challenging decision, but one that is as intriguing and thoroughly fascinating as is this very distinctive storyline. I am definitely giving some serious thought to which direction I will choose, and I’m absolutely looking forward to seeing where my choice will lead. Who knows, I may just decide to take more than one trail. 😉

P.S. I ended up choosing to read all three endings, and I enjoyed it more than traditional romance tales because it gives you an opportunity to see the female lead from different vantage points since the three male leads produce such different outlooks.

3 1/2 stars

Let me begin by saying, I’m not a fan of cliff-hangers. I want satisfaction and I want it NOW! However, I was always a fan of “choose your own adventure” books growing up, so I decided to give this unique approach to military romance a try.

As was expected, and necessary, I read the beginning of the book before tackling the ending I was given for my honest review. While I found the heroine’s journey engaging (I mean who doesn’t love a tough-as-nails woman who swears like a drunken sailor), I occasionally got lost among the huge cast of characters and often had to go back and ask myself ‘who was that again?’. I was also a bit slowed down by the over-abundance of military/Seal jargon, some of which advanced the story, some did not.

After finishing the build up, the time came for me to find out exactly what was going to happen to the hero I’d been given ... which was Keith Knight. He was my choice for Justice from the very beginning. I really liked his character, his interactions with Justice right up until the end of the beginning (if that makes sense). It also helped put the right amount of conflict into the ending and made their eventual romance really work for me.

Because I enjoyed the ending so much, I’d have been happy with less build up in the opening book, and more conclusion. Now, the question will be ... am I going to purchase the other two endings just to see the difference? I likely will. Maybe not right away because I was very satisfied with Justice’s and Keith’s romance.

If you’re a fan of military adventure stories with a hint (or, in this case, three hints) of romance, you will likely enjoy this series. Just be prepared to either choose your hero and stick with it. Or, be willing to read all three and see if you’ve chosen wisely.

Justine (Justice ) Hayes father was a master thief, notorious for never having been caught, he taught Justice everything that he knew but she wanted to go straight. When she, because of her skills, was offered a job heading a team of special operatives unit that would put her in danger and test her skills to the limit, Justice accepted the job , the only fly in the ointment was that she had to join the navy and do the BUD/S training course.
This story follows the horrors and torture that Justice was dealt during the drastic training course, Rear Admiral Sherwin didn't want a woman with his SEALs and Instructor Hill and Chief Turner were there to make sure that she dropped out. At first the team would have nothing to do with her but gradually she won them round.
She also won the hearts of three men, Bryden Street a blue eyed blond with dimples, his half brother Keith Knight, ruggedly handsome and with whom Justice had a lot in common and lastly helicopter pilot Pete Robbins, a joker who pushed rules over the limit but who made her laugh.
This book is a new concept for me, normally I wouldn't start a book that I knew ended with a cliff hanger, Justine had been betrayed, what this book does is give you a choice of follow up book, each giving Justice a HEA with the partner of your choice. An exciting action packed read. I was given a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.

So overall I enjoyed this book! It is worth mentioning that it is not a complete story and that you can choose the ending. I loved this idea! I have not read anything like it before and it's a great way to choose a favourite. And I am looking forward to choosing, or perhaps read all three because I can.
There is a trigger warning and the author was incredibly respectful about this and gives the option to skip it.
I struggled to get into the book at the start. This was more to do with this being the first book of this author I have read and it was a new genre/topic for me so I was trying to get my head around the terms. Once I got to Pete's part of the book I was finally getting the hang of it and really started enjoying it.
I love that we can choose the hero. All three have their pros and cons!
Keith- Very protective but why did he do what he did at the end! There must be a good reason if he is redeemable.
Brayden - Not really in it as a presence as much but he is the kind one, the one she can talk to.
Pete - Absolute thrill seeker but brings the fun into her life.
Judging by the book, Pete was my favourite. I felt more of a romance brewing between the two but I will give the other two endings a chance and see what happens!

My hands are shaking. Probably have been since Chapter 35. Not a bad kind of shaking though. It's the kind that happens when you're so immersed into a really good book. Where your adrenalin gets pumping, your emotions are at a heighten state, and then "hello" cliffhanger. Well, almost cliffhanger.

Justice is a total badass character. She proves it over and over while in BUD/S, and again on missions. Move over G.I. Jane. Ensign Justice Hayes is here to show you how it's done.

Now for the best part of this book. Choosing a hero. I love the idea that I, as the reader, get to choose the guy and which ending I would like to read. I have my favorite. His story is probably the one I'll pick. Then again, maybe not. Having three hot, gorgeous, sexy men to choose from makes it difficult. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Tracy Tappan is rocking the Choose a Hero Romance concept. I hope she writes more. If you're looking for an intense, suspenseful romance I highly recommend this book.

Who's the hero? You decide!

Note: this is NOT a complete story - you need to choose the ending! When I first heard about this concept I was intrigued , and I was not disappointed! This book contains the first part of the story, where we meet Justice and the three very different men she is,drawn to. I found this part of the story gripping, full of fascinating detail with a ballsy heroine that I found really appealing. Often in stories where there is a choice to be made by the heroine, she does not make the choice I would - with the Choose A Hero idea, now I get to choose the set of circumstances that lead to Justice and my choice of hero getting it together. Who will YOU choose? Just a warning though - there is an intense moment later on, but there's the option to skip over it and the first of the story isn't affected.

Loved this new Choose A Hero Romance but really loved getting to know the kicka$$ lady that fights tooth and nail against the prejudices of a good old boy network that doesn't believe woman should join their elite group. Justice finds her balance with the few that support her but also finds herself with feelings for a select few. Making it thru BUD/S, ready to go the final stretch, she finds herself being thrown under the bus due to those that think she has no business being there, let alone making it thru. No longer knowing who is against her and no idea of who to trust she packs her bags and moves to the next phase of her life in the SOF, leaving those she has feelings for behind. Grab this page turning, gut wrenching story of a woman who wants to be her best, wishing things had turned out different...on to another life.

JUSTICE, A Choose A Hero Romance by Tracy Tappan
I loved this story! Tracy always brings a different spin to her books and this was no exception. The concept of choosing a hero, Brayden, Keith or Pete in a story is such a captivating idea. It ends with a cliffhanger and you have to select who you want Justice to end up with. Justice is the first woman to make it to the Navy Seal training known as BUD/S. She is encouraged to attend this training to be a leader in the Special Operations Forces. I was so interested in the SEAL training.
I am intrigued! I will say, I have my favorite hero, but I fully intend to read all three endings. Tracy is so innovative in her stories. I could not put this book down. It is a definite 5 stars.

After reading this novel that i enjoyed i realized the dual standards of women in many walks of life not just in the armed forces. Its about time that this crap ended! Out of the three men that i would choose as an ending for this novel - (i would chose none of them) neither of them are worthy of a such a remarkable intelligent woman such as Justice. Posting the BUD/S completion certificate to her, and how her day ended at BUD/S was like stabbing a knife in my heart, as this is something that i have also faced. And shame on the C.O for that. Actually i would of walked away from even Dawson and the mission, she has proven that she is the BEST of the BEST, they need her more than she needs them.. She should of gave a big "Fu*k u" to the lot of them... Thats my ending.

Wow! I loved this book! I had read Tracy Tappan’s Community series which rocked but had not read any of her military romance books. She is a great writer and draws you into the story right from the beginning. I totally got caught up in the BUD/s experience and training that SEALS go through. I felt like a cheering every time Justice made it through the challenges presented to her. This is a great story about a strong woman trying to achieve her goals. Along the way she meets three intriguing men. Which one will she choose? You get to decide.

Justice is a damaged, strong, obstinate and awe inspiring woman. I wasn't sure if I was going to connect to the character as I'm totally not Justice, but found myself really wanting to her succeed under such harsh conditions and misogyny.
The dynamics and relationships felt honest as they are built over a long period of hardship and teamwork, and the non-romantic or sexual writing makes it even hotter...there is sexual fission but it's not like a normal romance book. I couldn't wait to read the next books to find out what each relationship was offered...

Figuring out how to be her best

I enjoyed this part of the story which is Justices story and her time in training. What an inspiration to woman and an awesome warrior. Justice displayed strength and determination and towards the end a little vulnerability. She was an excellent team leader who cared about her team.
I am looking forward to seeing how each of the men she has feelings for measure up to her standards.
All in all I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend

I loved this book! Gosh, I felt like I was right there watching a movie play out. Tracy's words just left the page and action came alive! I felt every ounce of hardship, pain and endurance she went through. I was rooting for her from day one.

Without giving anything away, she is one tough as nails, that has grit and determination kind of girl. I would have loved to see her as a BUD/S "Instructor"!

Unique style of writing; felt like I got to choose how the story ended. Tracy has provided another page turner, barely able to put the book Justice down. It can’t get any better then being able to choose who she ends up with this choose your own hero book. The lingo makes you feel like you are a part of the Navy team from training all the way to operations

This starts of great. I was interested and engaged with the characters and their journey. But there is event that really soured me on the book and how in the aftermath reason seems to desert everyone, some more understandably than others but still I could not get into the book afterwards.
It isn't bad book or badly written, just not for me. DNF

Great read.

I always enjoy Tracy Tappan action packed books. This one is another good one with a twist at the end.

Not sure!

I don't mind cliff hangers, but this did end strange. Would of loved to have the complete set without Lee having to pay!
